Mr. Jim Armstrong

Jim is a British graduate qualifying 1984 from Dundee. He had UK plastic surgical training in Manchester, Chepstow, Liverpool and Norwich. This was followed by 12 months plastic surgical fellowship at the Wellington Regional Plastic Surgery Unit in Hutt Hospital, plus visiting fellow to Hand Surgery Units in Swansea, South Wales and Wrightington Hospital. He was appointed consultant in 1999 at the Wellington Regional Plastic, Maxillofacial and Burns Unit, Lower Hutt.

Jim has a special interest in:

  • Hand surgery:
    • post-trauma reconstruction
    • nerve and tendon injuries / reconstruction
    • congenital hand anomalies
    • Dupuytren’s disease
  • Burn surgery
